Los Cabos is known as "The end of the earth", as it is the last piece of land in the Baja California Peninsula; this vast and generous territory is shared by Mexico and the United States.
Accessible from the Medano Beach or marina in Cabo San Lucas, the rugged El Arco (The Arch), also known as Land's End, is the remarkable rock formation rising out of the Sea of Cortez that has become the iconic landmark of Los Cabos. It is called Land's End because, as the crow flies, if you followed a line south from here, you would not touch land again until you reached the South Pole.
Sea lions frequent the area (especially along the Los Frailes rock formation), Seals hang out on the rocks, and Land's End remains excellent for couples looking for a romantic spot to see the sunset.
